Volkswagen unveils Up! Lite Concept in LA

Volkswagen proposed at the Los Angeles Motor Show Up! Lite Concept the most economical four-seater Volkswagen.

The Volkswagen Up! Lite is based on the Concept L1 Concept volkswagen that this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show exhibit is made. Under the hood we find a 0.8-liter twin-cylinder TDI engine with 51 hp and 210 Nm torque which is assisted by a 14 hp electric motor, so together they provide a maximum power output of 65 hp.

The Volkswagen Up! Lite Concept consumes 2.44 liters per 100 kilometer, the CO2 emission is 65 g / km. This was partly achieved through the use of a Start / Stop system, a seven-speed DSG automatic braking and store. Besides considering the Up! Lite Concept but 695 kilograms and has a fuel tank of 20 liter with a range of 800 kilometer. However, this need not be boring to be environmentally friendly concept: the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 12.5 seconds and has passed the Up! Lite Concept’s top speed of 160 km / h.

The Volkswagen Up! Lite concept is mostly aluminum, carbon steel and manufactured, it is 3.8 meters long, 1.4 meters high and 1.6 meters wide. The wheelbase is 2.45 meters.
