Today Rolls-Royce presents to the Italian Lake Como the Sweptail a unique limousine built by a collector of exclusive automobiles, super yachts and aircraft. The highlight of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is Rolls-Royce’s reply to the request to provide a modern car, with the grandeur of limousines of a century ago and inspired by modern and antique yachts.
The resulting car name – Sweptail – naturally raises directly the classic body style recalls walking down dramatically at the rear. The same mold is realized with a strong piece of innovation: it almost one-piece glass panorama roof runs on the back side down by, the body panels at the back following the tapered shape. The bottom side has no sharply defined at the back end, but goes around toward the bottom – a reference yachts.
While the interior of the abundance of the most exclusive Royces bursting is that the Sweptail held true minimalist. Behind the two-seat GT-seat configuration we see as a wooden partition on luxury ships, followed by a shelf. Filling the ‘teardrop’ of Sweptail inside in. Both wood and leather are done in contrasting colors.
One of the gadgets in the Rolls-Royce Sweptail are laptop bags, hidden behind the doors. These are handmade from carbon fiber and leather to match the car. Also a luggage set back not lacking. According to British newspaper The Telegraph, the car cost a staggering amount of 10 million British pounds, converted 11.5 million.
