The new Forte has a much more refined exterior design than its predecessor, one in which aesthetic solutions taken from the Stinger model can be felt. The model has a longer hood, and at the same time a shortened back.
The lower point of the front pillars was moved backward by more than 13 cm and so the car has a sporty look, associated with that of a fastback. The new bumpers, as well as the new lighting fixtures, contribute to this. We will see the design of the front-wheel blocks on the new generation Kia Cee’d, and the lights are connected to each other with an LED strip.
After changing generation, the Forte has become larger in size. The length increased by 80 mm to 4,640 mm, the width by 18 mm to 1,800 mm, and the height of another 13 mm, up to 1,440 mm. The volume of the trunk has reached 427 liters.
KIA representatives said that 54 percent of all components on the new Forte are now made of steel. Sustainability increased by 16 percent compared to the previous model. The engineers worked on the suspension by changing their geometry and mounted new stabilizing bars. The chassis in general has been improved for comfort and efficient maneuverability.
KIA has not announced the new Forte’s sale date, but said it will be available in three levels of equipment.
