The new FX4 Off-Road package offered to the Ranger seriously prepares the car to ride on rugged terrain: special shock absorbers, tire and steel protection plates on the underside, a Terrain Management system with various settings for adapting the car to road conditions, and so on.
The cabin of the new Ford Ranger is designed for five people. The list of available equipment includes an optional information and entertainment system SYNC 3 with an eight-inch touchscreen, as well as a partially digital dashboard. For an additional charge, customers will also receive: Wi-Fi 4G LTE, 115 V sockets, B & O Play premium audio system, GPS, LED headlights and so on.
The new Ford Ranger will be available in the XL, XLT and Lariat equipment levels, as well as the Chrome and Sport styling packages. The basic equipment of the car includes a head-on collision avoidance system, a lane assistance system (XLT and LARIAT), tracking blind spots, and parking sensors. The upper version, Lariat, also comes with a pedestrian detection system and an adaptive cruise control.
Production of the new Ford Ranger will start in Michigan this year. The detailed specifications of the model and the starting price will likely appear within a few months. Later this year the European version of Ranger could be shown.
