Saleen S7 Strikes Back with Limited Edition!

Saleen announced the return of the S7 supercar, axed back in 2009, with a limited edition dedicated to the manufacturer’s successes in dozens of international races, including the Le Mans races between 1996 and 2002!

American company Saleen Automotive has fulfilled its promise! More than a year after announcing the return of the S7 in a limited edition, we finally get it.
The car will be launched in a version called Le Mans Edition, dedicated to the success registered by the manufacturer in dozens of international racing series. We remind you that Saleen participated in various competitions between 1996 and 2002.

The limited edition Saleen S7 will be powered by a V8 gasoline engine from Ford with a displacement of 7.0 liters, with two turbochargers which develop 1,300 hp and 1,000 Nm torque.

That power will be transmitted via a 6-speed manual gearbox on the rear axle. The chassis of the supercar will be made of steel and the body panels will be made of composite materials. The super-car will be able to reach speeds of 100 km/h in under 2.8 seconds and the maximum speed will be around 400 km/h.
It also has a limited-slip rear differential, ventilated braking mechanisms, 19- and 20-inch forged rims, and 275/30 and 335/30 tires respectively.

All seven copies of Saleen S7 Le Mans Edition will be assembled manually in Corona, California. The price is 1,000,000 dollars. Note that the updated Saleen S7, named S7 Twin Turbo, was launched in 2005 with a starting price of 585,000 dollars.
The Saleen S7 also become popular due to its presence in the movie Bruce Almighty.
