The 5th position was occupied by the super sports car concept of the future called AMG Vision Gran Turismo, which also entered the virtual world of video simulators: Gran Turismo for Sony PlayStation console.
No. 4 is ranked the modern concept based on a G-Class from 2025. Named Ener-G-Force, it was revealed five years ago in the auxiliary design contest called “L.A. Auto Show Design Challenge “, in which they exposed the most daring and visionary automotive design ideas.
The design contest’s subject for that year was “the patrol car of the year 2025”. Yes, it seems that in 2025 there will be high tech criminals and a good high tech police car should help the law enforcement capture them.
The design was created by Mercedes-Benz’s design center from California, which has translated into reality the idea of a true off-roader called Ener-G-Force, which shouted with all its might: “I’m the Geländewagen of the future!”
Equipped with fuel cell propulsion, the Ener-G-Force can travel 800 km on a single tank of hydrogen.
3rd place holds the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 elegant coupe, which has a length of about 6 meters, and is a work of modern art inspired by classical models of the 30s. Equipped with a pure electrical propulsion of 750 hp, it has an 0 to 100 km / h acceleration less than 4 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 km / h, while the 80 kWh batteries provides 500 km range.
It is more than enough for a car of this class. The rapid charging system is extremely advanced, whereby in just 5 minutes you can get enough energy for 100 kilometers!
No. 2 is the Mercedes-Benz Generation EQ concept, which announced a sub-brand for Mercedes-Benz, called EQ, and that now is under question because naming rights in China. These rights are owned by Chery there for its electric model launched in 2014. Until the situation is clarified a future electric SUV inspired by the Generation EQ concept promises to “change everything” due to innovative electrical underpinnings that comes with 408 horsepower and a range of up to 500 km, thanks to different battery packs, which will float around 70 kWh.
First place goes to the latest named Mercedes-AMG GT Concept, which is an extremely dynamic 4-door coupe, with a technical hybrid platform that includes a V8 twin-turbo engine and electric motor for a total of 815 hp, and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h under 3 seconds!
The power is transmitted to all wheels via all-wheel drive system 4MATIC +.
All in all, we can say that the future is electrical for AMG’s performance cars, but this deviation from tradition could indeed have positive effects on performance!
