The regular E-Class Saloon and E-Class Break received a facelift with a number of aesthetic updates, also a series of electrified engines (including mild hybrid technology), the E63 AMG top versions still revolve around the potent 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine in its purest form.
Performance figures remain unchanged, so the E63 AMG still does it with 571 hp / 750 Nm (top speed 250 km / h), the E63 S AMG gets 612 hp / 850 Nm (top speed 300 km / h). For the record, invariably in combination with the 9-speed sports automatic transmission and smart 4MATIC + four-wheel drive. In the case of the S , if desired, you can send all the power backwards (read: drift mode! )… And thus exhaust your tires in 1-2-3! The air suspension has also been optimized to be both comfortable and dynamic.
Visually, the air intakes in the front got bigger (ditto for the Star in the front), the Multibeam LED light blocks narrower, wheel arches 27 millimeters wider and the well-known Panamericana AMG grille, it also looks a bit fresher at the back. The E63 AMG rolls on 19 ”alloy wheels as standard, the E63 S AMG does it with 20”. The brilliant blue paintwork of the AMG GTs is available for the first time. Inside, the MBUX system became (even) smarter and there is a new multifunctional steering wheel.
Later this year Mercedes-AMG will commercialize the new E63 (S) Berline and E63 (S) Break, prices are probably in line with the current offer (count on about 120,000 euros). The renewed BMW M5 and brand new Audi RS6 Avant remain the definite concegas.
