Externally, the new Jetta marks an evolution of the usual clean and timeless Volkswagen design with modern lines and a refined appearance. The combination of large front grille and sharper lines generates a bold character, while adding more chrome inserts and standard LED illumination gives a premium feel. The fast sloping roof line creates a more sporty profile, similar to a coupe, without compromising the usefulness of the rear seat.
Compared to its predecessor, the new model is 43 mm (4,702 mm) longer, 21 mm (1,799 mm) wider and 6.45 mm (1,459 mm) taller. The wheelbase also increased by 35 mm to 2,686 mm. The minimum volume of the luggage compartment is 510 liters.
Jetta’s completely redesigned interior combines high-tech features with daily use and refined finish. High-quality materials and trapezoidal design elements give the vehicle a gorgeous but modern feel. The Jetta has new colors and models for upholstered seats and door trim, as well as optional 10-color customizable ambient lighting.
