While the exterior will preserve the established design, the cabin and the dashboard will catch up with the most avant-garde Mercedes-Benz models of the moment.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class was launched in 1979 and since then regularly passed through updates, but they kept it essentially unchanged. It’s basically a vehicle unchanged for over 38 years, just completed with new engines, and equipped with safety, comfort and infotainment equipment that keep it up to times.
Among standard features, the G-Class offers its driver seat adjustment memory, and heating for all seats. Optionally, the driver can choose an armchair with massage, air conditioning and quick heating functions. This option also includes lumbar adjustment for both the driver’s seat and the front passenger. At the same time, the side profiles of the seat and the backrest include air cushions, which adjust the seat configuration to adapt to the driving style. For example, in cornering, lateral support is more pronounced.
The customizing capabilities of the G-Class will be more extensive. In standard equipment, the off-roader produced in Graz will feature black, brown or macchiato beige Lugano leather upholstery.
But there are also two stylistic packages, called Exclusive Interior and Exclusive Interior Plus. They add an impressive palette of colors and stitch types for Nappa leather upholstery or DINAMICA microfiber (for ceiling). Red, blue, white or brown shades, or diamond pattern seams, can be selected too.
All this will further ensure the success of this veteran, which has so far been sold in over 300,000 copies.
