The Japanese from Lexus published two photos of what appears to be their new concept, called UX. It is designed as a direct rival to the Audi Q2 and will be officially presented at the Paris Motor Show.
Just days before the Paris Motor Show debut, the Japanese from Lexus began to give us some details about their future concept which they want to present in the French capital.
Named UX, the model has been foreseen as a future rival for the Audi Q2 and will represent the ‘brand’s vision for a small SUV of the future. ”
The inside seems to be taken from SF movies and impresses with the futuristic design, especially through its transparent holographic and mobile globe.
The center console is designed in the same manner and is made of a crystalline structure with holographic screen that allows access to infotainment and air conditioning system settings.
The cabin is complemented by a steering wheel with an odd shape and flattened bottom, an unusual detail on the right side of the dashboard and although not too well seen in these photos, the detached seats are equally futuristic.
Regarding the exterior of the future concept, it is based on the same sharp edges and angular shapes as the other models from the Japanese manufacturer, as the NX.
At first glance one may notice the absence of side mirrors which have been replaced by video cameras that project images inside.
Even if not technical details are yet known about the new Lexus UX, we can speculate a little about the engine range. Since the mother company, Toyota, has already registered more indicatives such as UX200, UX250 or UX250h, the SUV will most likely be powered by 2.0-liter turbo engine.
It will be joined by a hybrid assembly of 190 horsepower, borrowed from the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
