Isuzu may be relatively unknown to most of us, the diehard adventurers or professional demanders undoubtedly know the Japanese car brand for their functional (and tireless) D-Max pickup.
The latest generation builds on the existing success formula in which the 1.9-liter turbo diesel with 164 hp / 360 Nm plays a prominent role. He will, however, receive an AdBlue addition to meet the strict Euro6d environmental standards that will be mandatory in 2021. The impressive versatility (load capacity of 1,000 kg and towing capacity of 3,500 kg) also remained untouched, if desired, the fording height is 80 cm so that the D-Max can – and will – prove itself on any terrain.
On the outside there is a new (cool) grille on the D-Max with LED headlights, among other things, it all looks a lot more comfortable (or even more luxurious) than before. They achieved this thanks to a strong focus on better ergonomics, more user comfort and high-quality appearance. In a more tangible form, we note a 9 ”infotainment system, 8-way adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone air conditioning. In terms of driver assistance and safety, the new generation D-Max works with no less than 8 airbags, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Trafic Alert and Lane Assist .
The Isuzu D-Max again comes in three body styles ( Single Cab, Extended Cab and Double Cab ), two transmissions (manual or automatic) and the same number of drives (front or four-wheel drive). In addition, a choice can be made between different equipment levels (L, LS and LSX) with a luxurious V-Cross lifestyle version above. Prices vary between 31,429 euros (including VAT) to 48,369 euros. Each D-Max comes with a 5-year warranty.
