The Infiniti QX80 Monograph version is still only a piece of the exhibition, which will gather likes and criticism. These will be taken into account when launching the series production of a true SUV. So the series version will present major differences compared to the concept.
The luxury division of Nissan, Infiniti, is trying to convince us that the new QX80 Monograph concept is the basic idea of the brand for the exterior of a new generation large-size SUV. We must recognize that the style and elegance of this new massive concept would look pretty good in the streets of the world.
More than five meters long, the QX80 Monograph is only slightly shorter than the Cadillac Escalade (5.17 meters). The Infiniti QX80 Monograph concept has folded mirrors, sits 2 meters wide, close enough to the size of the Cadillac Escalade version, which is 2.04 meters.
The new QX80 Monograph accentuates its size mainly because of its somewhat rough shape, as though it were carved from a single piece of material.
In the front side, the double-arch grille of the Infiniti is taller and wider than normal for this car. The result means a large opening, covered by a dark mesh that turns this SUV into quite an aggressive car.
The quite thin headlights are composed of individual LED lights that can illuminate independently. From these lights start the lines which continue beyond the video cameras that replace the rear-view mirrors. On these lines, finished in the best possible way, we find fender vents just behind the wheels on the front axle.
We have no doubts when we say that the new model’s design elements are borrowed from the latest versions of the concept or new variants of production. Among them, we can talk about the new invention of the company, the headlights which resemble human eyes, nicely placed on the front of the car, but also the interesting combination of taillights and other items on the model’s rear. Both benefit from the latest technologies, meaning the QX80 Monograph is the owner of an adaptive lighting system.
On the backside, the manufacturer emphasizes the model’s width, using elements which are stretched horizontally. Thin taillights use the individual idea that can be found on the headlights too. Moreover, the wide exhaust system incorporates a similar reason, this time in the lower part of the bodywork.
For now, the manufacturer has talked a lot about the exterior of the new concept, so we do not know much about the interior of the QX80 Monograph or the propulsion system. The bodywork is attractive and looks pretty tough, especially in the version in which shades of satin and metal are mixed together for a freezing effect,.
The QX80 Monograph is the first Infiniti branded “Monograph”. For those who are not aware of the latest information, we must specify that the Monograph studies are exploring ways in which Infiniti can develop something specific to its models, whether we are talking about sedans, crossovers or SUVs.
