We live in a time when triumph means small motors but did you know that there are models that are still betting on big propellers? Yes, there are… and bellow we have a Top 5 of the most interesting ones.

“Downsizing” is the reduction of engine capacity, normally of gasoline engines, to accentuate efficiency thereof homologating emissions and consumption values which were unthinkable years ago. In the last ten years or so, few vehicle manufacturers have stopped betting on that concept.
However, there are other brands that keep their offer of powerful cars with huge engines, as there are also enthusiasts of this type of propellers:

This American pure breed, also called SRT ‘ -Street and Race Technology-, has an output of 640 hp and maximum torque of 813 Nm. It has benefited from the alliance with Fiat Group and used the same suppliers as Ferrari and Maserati.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead
The British manufacturer has always been known for its opulence, which is demonstrated by this engine, used in the Phantom and Phantom Drophead models. It delivers an output of 453 hp and a maximum torque of 719 Nm; it is indeed known for its consumption -more 15,5l / 100km on average, although it is able to move more the 2.5 tons Phantom from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds. Its price starts from 476,233 euros.
