Audi Confirm Plans to Mass Produce R8 LMX, Featuring Laser Powered Head Lamps

Audi has confirmed plans to manufacture their much awaited R8 LMX supercar, which has gained quite a lot of fame for sporting laser powered head lamps, beating BMW in this race. This vehicle has also hit spotlights for being the most powerful production R8 yet, displacing a mammoth 562 BHP, from its V10 Plus engine block.

This allows the R8 LMX to accelerate from 0 – 60 MPH within 3.2 seconds, while top speed is yet to be announced. It features an additional range of goodies such as carbon ceramic brakes, aerodynamic front winglets and a rear spoiler.

Mated to its powerful V10 Plus engine block is a dual clutch, S Tronic transmission system, expected to displace additional power. It should sport an entry level price tag of €210,000 (Germany). A global launch is awaited. Details regarding its laser powered headlight setup are yet to be announced and we are keeping all eyes and ears on board, peeled for additional reports.
