It seems that Aston Martin has not been satisfied with the renewal of its vehicle range with the launch of impressive AM-001 RB, a hypercar designated to rival with Bugatti Chiron and Koenigsegg Regera. Aston Martin AM-001 RB will be available early 2017 although the first deliveries are scheduled for 2018.
Now the British brand plans to create a new mid-engine jewelry, placed in the “medium” segment of supercars and has the power to stand up to the Ferrari 488 GTB.
This new model will be part of the plan established by Aston Martin for the coming years, with the release of up to seven cars over the next seven years.
Among them you will find the DBX, two high-end cars and the new sports car, expected to be launched early in the next decade.
Regarding the AM-001 RB designed in collaboration with Adrian Newey, Andy Palmer, the CEO of Aston Martin stated that “I hope this is the beginning of a new trend of more financially accessible supercars.”
“I wish this new sports car was more conventional and possible to be acquired by a wider audience”, he added. The certain thing is that this car planned by Aston Martin will not only have to face the Ferrari 488 GTB, but also the successor of the current McLaren 650S or with a new mid-engine supercar from Porsche.
