Aston Martin – Vanquish Volante

Aston Martin’s new Vanquish Volante is out now and for some of those who don’t know, it is the convertible version of the V12 GT car of the same brand. Aston Martin’s Vanquish Volante is the first convertible car from the brand in 100 years of history that is completely made out of carbon fibre. The carbon fibre not only helps in reducing the weight of this convertible car but also the company claims that it is the most rigid Volante shell since the company’s very existence.

The Volante is upgraded with styling cues of LED rear lights and prolonged side wales from the supercar named One77. On the inside, there is a new electronic infotainment system with and engine start button and a button to control the 6-speed automatic transition gear box. He cabin has a room for 4 persons and enough space for baggage with either the roof is on or not. Speaking of the roof, it takes a mere 14 seconds to fold the triple skin fabric of it. From under the hood, the engine is powered by the same AM11 6.0liter 565 horsepower V12 engine which is installed in the coupe version, it gives an output in a top speed of 183 miles per hour with a reach of 0-62 miles per hour in just 4.1 seconds.

The company claims that this car is celebrating the 100 years of the excellence of the company and it is made for a perfect luxury supercar experience indicating an ideal beginning to make the next 100 years even more successful. The car lives up to all the expectation of its buyers providing them with the aura of the brand and the aesthetics associated with it. From the exteriors to the interiors and the folding roof top the car speaks for itself displaying the elegance and the genuine power.

The company has done a fabulous job as it is not an easy thing to make a convertible version which performs as well as the coupe version mainly due to the loss of rigidity in the body and weight loss mechanism of the roof as well. The weight of the car has been kept while sustaining the stiffness of the structure. The company makes the claim that Vanquish Volante is 14% more rigid than the previous DBS Volante because of the carbon fibre and the underneath aluminum structure.

The Vanquish Volante is equipped with many features like the positive torque control and the dynamic stability control for the help of its driver. The car also comes with Aston Martin’s very own adaptive damping system which enables the driver to switch between three separate damping modes varying the ride characteristics to suit the way the car is being driven by the driver, these are sport, normal and track. This damping system is equipped with an electronic sensor tracking the readings of steering wheel rotation, the car’s speed and the brake and throttle position.
The Vanquish Volante promises to be a joy ride with great performance, elegant style and enthusiastic motoring.
